Reality

Ever have one of those moments where you go "wow, what is this? o wait its reality". This tends to include thinking that the presentation of images through your eyes is somewhat alien and that just for a second you forget who everyone is and where you are. About 5 minutes ago, I had one of those moments. I was looking at my dad as we were discussing my the terms for my history test and I asked myself "do i like this reality?". Not really a question of whether I like the fact that I have a test and the aspects of my current situation but more, "would I rather something else entirely". Quite trippy now that I think about it. The question of whether there are other realities incites a longing for it. For the time being, I'm still in this one. In a sense of survival (promoting fear of uncertainty) another reality is scary, yet still so intriguing. I guess that's why we generalize the Japanese as anime addicts.

I leave you with this: What's real?

  2. here's something I posted on my blog which you might find related...I don't know why I thought about it but here it is:
Nobody has ever seen the Grand Canyon at night. You can only feel it, the emptiness pulling you in. We are so used to everything all at once, and such an infinite expanse of nothing, not only nothing but a nothing that you can't see, scares us. Usually we don't see the everything and we focus on the nothing. Standing on the edge of the Canyon at night, nothing surrounds us, and we are free.

it's the reality of nothing...I guess? sometimes what you see tricks you and you have to go by what you feel

  3. Whats's real is what our senses tell us whats real, that's why I find myself not liking my senses. Many times I have been day dreaming and become so lost in my toughs that I start seeing and hearing and smelling the things I am thinking about. Scientist call it a lucid dream but I think it is how the human mind coups with reality, throwing a curve ball every once in a while to keep us on our toes.

  4. "happiness is only real when shared"
what's real is your impact on other people's reality
if you don't interact with others, did you ever exist?
I think so. You don't NEED others to be happy, but for some reason, interacting with people improves our outlook most of the time. We should cooperate - if we don't we won't get anywhere.

I was at Mt. Snow the other day and we were going up the lift and it was the new bubble one so it was real quiet. Then this one guy spoke up (about how quiet it was) and we got into a conversation. He's a writer/ski instructor/ski patrol and he could sing pretty well too. And now he knows all about me. The point is just to open up to people - much more good will come than bad. We must trust in each other.
